Promoting healthy lifestyle in badminton event

In an effort to encourage the public to be more active in sports and lead a healthy lifestyle, the Village Consultative Councils of Kampong Menengah and Bukit Sulang together with their committee members held the final stage of the 3rd Badminton event that was open to the residents of Mukim Lamunin.

The contest was held at a school hall of the village and saw the participation of 18 teams in the first stage. The aim of the event was to foster ties and inculcate teamwork spirit among the residents while scouting for new players and introducing the sport to all levels of the community.

The final stage was won by the pair of Mohd Rudy bin Mohd Jenin and Bungsu bin Asit after defeating Hj Sumardy bin Hj Sauso and Md Noor bin Saman. Third place was won by Asri bin Hj Mohamad and Saiful Hanizam bin Kampong along with Hj Roslee bin Hj Ahad and Md Shahirul bin Hj Jenin.

Prizes were presented by guest of honour, Abd Ghani bin Hj Othman, Tutong Asistant District Officer.
